Arizona Board of Regents virtual tuition setting calendar of events
Phoenix, Ariz. – Following are key dates for tuition setting for Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona, including a virtual public hearing and in-depth, tuition workshop that will lead to the Arizona Board of Regents voting on tuition and mandatory fees for the 2021-22 academic year.
Details on tuition setting events are as follows:
- Friday, March 26, noon (approximate time) - Presidents of Arizona’s public universities will release tuition and mandatory fee proposals for the 2021-22 academic year on March 26. Proposals will also include any changes to college fees, program fees, class fees, and meal and resident hall rates. The proposals will be available on the ABOR website.
- Tuesday, April 6, 3-5 p.m. - A virtual public hearing will be webcast for students and individuals to comment on tuition proposals. Instructions on how to comment, including a form to fill out to participate in the public hearing, will be posted under "public notices" on the ABOR website. Comments on tuition proposals may also be submitted electronically to tuition@azregents.edu.
- Thursday, April 8, 3 - 5 p.m. – The board will host a host a virtual tuition workshop where the university presidents will present their proposals. The meeting will be livestreamed.
- Thursday, April 15 – The board is expected to vote on tuition and fee proposals for the 2021-2022 academic year during a virtual meeting. The meeting will be livestreamed.
Public comments regarding tuition and fees will not be taken at the board meeting given the public hearing that will be held on April 6. In addition to sharing comments by email to tuition@azregents.edu, individuals may submit by comments by regular mail, at 2700 N. Central Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85004; or by fax at (602) 229-2555. Comments may also be submitted through the board’s “contact us” page.
