UArizona proposes streamlined tuition and fee structure

The University of Arizona is proposing a streamlined tuition structure for new undergraduate and graduate students in the 2024-25 academic year.

The proposal does not change approved tuition rates, but instead streamlines undergraduate tuition and fees into three components and two for graduate students. Earlier this year, the Arizona Board of Regents approved a new multi-year tuition structure to increase cost predictability for resident students at Arizona’s public universities.

Following a committee presentation and public hearing, the board is anticipated to take possible action on the proposals on Nov. 16.

The proposal is available here. Next steps include:

  • Proposal presentation (Nov. 2) – The board anticipates the UArizona tuition and fee changes for the 2024-25 academic year will be on University Governance and Operations Committee meeting agenda for review and potential action. Committee meeting materials are posted here
  • Public hearing (Nov. 7) – The board will hold a virtual, livestreamed public hearing for students and individuals to comment on the proposal on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. - noon. Instructions on how to comment is available under “public notices” on the board’s website. The livestream will be available here. Additionally, comments on tuition proposals may also be submitted electronically to tuition@azregents.edu, through regular mail, at 2700 N. Central Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85004; or by fax at (602) 229-2555.
  • Board vote on proposal (Nov. 16) – The board anticipates including on its Nov. 16 board agenda the review and possible action of UArizona’s proposal. Board materials will post here on November 7, 2023.
