Virtual Regents’ Cup celebrates free speech, civil discourse at Arizona public universities

WHAT: The Regents’ Cup debate competition celebrating free speech, civil discourse and democratic engagement among students from all of Arizona’s public universities will take place as a virtual event April 24.

The public can watch the 2021 Regents’ Cup competition here.

Students participating in the Regents’ Cup will compete in the debate-style competition during an event illustrating the commitment of the universities to upholding the intrinsic rights of all students to freedom of speech.

This tri-university competition features student team members engaging in debate and speech events. Participants in the Regents’ Cup compete for scholarships to advance their education at the universities.
